After reading the passage from "Animal Farm" in which Napoleon and Snowball are described, we can make the following prediction:
C. Napoleon will rise as the only leader.
Who are Napoleon and Snowball?
- Napoleon and Snowball are both pigs who govern Animal Farm after the revolution. They were chosen as leaders because the are the most intelligent among the animals.
What prediction can we make?
- In the passage, we learn that Napoleon has "a reputation for getting his own way." We can assume that he is quite authoritarian and egotistic.
- The same is not said about Snowball. He seems to be more lighthearted than Napoleon.
- The two pigs are the leaders, but they seem to have different styles of leading. If Napoleon likes to do things his way, it is only natural that he will try to be the only leader.
- With that in mind, we can say that letter C is the best prediction. Napoleon will indeed rise as the only leader.
