when road contractors are laying cement,they first place a series of steel rods in a specific patterns. the they pour the cement on the rods and allow it to cure.the composite is called reinforced concrete. what is the purpose of the steel rods.
help me please

The steel rods will enable the concrete to form without any bumps and it will add shape to the cement and strength, so no odd massive lumps are formed.

That is what I think anyways :)
