How might things like letting our cars leak oil onto the ground or dumping harmful chemicals down our drains pollute our fresh water supply

Respuesta :

The problem is that oil and chemicals can be washed away by rain etc. or rinsed down the drain to water sources like lakes, rivers, or into the ground, which are places we get our water from. Obviously having harmful substances in our water is unsafe, and so it is taken very seriously.

Both oil leaks and chemical drainage can flow into our surface water by Runoff. And Both of these things can seep into our ground water supply
