I feel it's the first sentence, "The young woman pressed and prodded the waster muscles, resting her body on her knees, her bowed head hidden as i na cloud by her black wealth of hair." 

Sentence 2 talks about how "Negore" watched her as she did that, so ultimately this section revolves around Sentence 1.
