Xiao's teacher asked him to rewrite the sum 60+90 as the product of the GCF of the two numbers and a sum. Xiao wrote 3(20+30).
What mistake did Xiao make? How should have rewrite the sum?

The GCF of 60 and 90 is 30.  30 * 5  = 150  and  we require a product 30 and a sum.

Xiao's answer is wrong because the GCF is 30 not 3.

The answer could be 30(2 + 3)
