The picture attached shows the Tuskegee Airmen. This group of African-American pilots helped to carry out hundreds of dangerous missions throughout World War II.
The Navajo Code Talkers is another good example of how minorities helped in the war effort. These Navajo Indians were recruited by the US Marines in order to transmit important battle information. The reason why the Navajo were picked was due to their complex spoken language. The US had tried other ways of communicating but it was fairly easily figured out by the Axis Powers. However, with the Navajo Code talkers, the US military could share messages about battles without fear of it being decoded and used against them.
